Announcements for Saturday & Sunday, March 18 & 19, 2023 The Fourth Sunday of Lent
1. Monday, March 20th there will be a mass in Honor of St. Joseph at 10:00 followed by blessing of the St. Joseph Altar in the Parish Life Center. Meals will be served until 3:30. There will be no communion service at 8:00am.
2. The Helping Hands Gift Shop will be opened after 9 and 11am Masses as well as by appointment. We also have free spiritual books and pamphlets for your convenience.
3.Our Lenten Bible "Around the Lenten Circle" presented by Lodie Javery will continue Saturday, March 25th in the Family Life Center 9:00am-10:30am. Please join us and bring a friend.
4. Confessions will be available in all Archdiocese of New Orleans Parishes including here at St. Genevieve on Wednesdays, March 22nd at 5:00pm-6:30pm.
5. Let the men do the cooking! St. Genevieve Knights of Columbus will be serving fried fish dinners from 11am to 6pm in the Family Life Center during lent, March 24th and 31st. For $10 you get fried fish, potato salad, green peas, and a roll. Dine in and carry-out are available. Delicious homemade desserts and drinks will also be sold.
6. Sign-up sheets are available at all church entrances for those who wish to protray the apostles for the washing of the feet on Holy Thursday. Volunteers must be available for Palm Sunday's procession and Mass on April 2nd at 9am and for Holy Thursday, April 6th for dinner at 5:00pm & Mass at 7:00pm.
7. The Youth Ministry is welcoming volunteers to participate in Mary's Way of the Cross on Good Friday, at 7pm. Email or text Jatonne El-Amin, contact info on the front of the bulletin.
8. The Youth Ministry would like to pray for and cheer on our upcoming graduates (all ages) as commencement events approach. Email Jatonne El-Amin about your or your child's accomplishments.
9. Photos for the St. Joseph Memorial Table may be delivered to the Hall on March 17th & 18th between 10:00am & 1:00pm. You may pick up your photos on Tuesday, March 21st after 9am.
10. Our Family Life Ministry is sponsoring our annual Easter Egg Extravaganza on Sunday, April 2nd on the church grounds. Donations of Easter candy is welcome and can be placed in the boxes at all entrances to the church. Thank you for your support.
11. This weekend 2nd collection will be for Archdiocesan Seminarian Education.
