The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which people enter the Catholic Church. This includes people who have not been baptized (called catechumens) and people who have been baptized in another Christian church and now seek full Communion with the Catholic Church. Each year on Holy Saturday during the Easter Vigil, catechumens are baptized into the Catholic Church and those already baptized in another Christian church are brought into full communion with the Catholic Church.
These classes are also open to adult Catholics who have not received the Sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation. Participants must be 18 years or older.
Classes at St Genevieve are on Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. These classes begin the first week of September and end with Pentecost.
